The administration and financial offices are unreliable. The policies that are followed change on a regular basis and these two entities do not communicate those changes effectively. The administration is more concerned about the reputation of the school rather than the health and welfare of the student body. There is no direction of the administration to improve the student body experience or assist the students in improving their understanding of medicine in general. The administration refuses to oversee or be involved in the processes of the Student Government Association and this has allowed corrupt SGA administrations to create policies and procedures that affect student life. Further, the administration refuses to accept the presence of other schools on the island and refuses to work with them in an effort to improve relations with these schools or the island community in general. The financial office makes promises and claims they are unable and unwilling to fulfill. In Oct 2016 the process of Title IV was to begin. However, in May 2017, the story changed and now the Financial Office no longer desires Title IV funding - this putting many students into loan terms that are unrealistic. Private funding is the only way of funding the education at Trinity now, whereas a year ago, the ability to access federal funds was a possibility. that option has been removed from the student body and forcing the student to look for and accept loans that have repayment schedules and plans that can not be changed based on the individual circumstances and places the bank in control instead of the student situation. While the school is accredited, the professors and instruction is lacking in organization, effectiveness and direction. There is no need to attend class as the professors do not teach nor speak in a manner that helps explain or express the material being discussed. The program is set up in a way that forces the student to attempt to learn the material on their own while wasting time attending useless and unorganized courses being taught by incompetent professors. The professors may be qualified on paper to teach, but there is no professional direction or courses that teach the professors the process of techniques to actually teach. The administration and professors seem to be at the school for one purpose...a paycheck. Reconsider your selection. If no other choice is available, chose Trinity - but know you are on your own and must learn the material on your own with little to no help from the staff and administration.

Trinity School of Medicine is a great place to work. I'm very fortunate that I get to spend several weeks every year working on campus in St. Vincent. What a beautiful island!!! Heading out to work on a beautiful tropical island changes your outlook. It hardly feels like work when you look out your window and see the blue, calming ocean.

It has been a pleasure being a part of the growth and development of this fine school since 2013. TSOM attracted the finest in experienced faculty and medical education experts to achieve the top level of CAAM- HP accreditation in 2017- only 9 years. TSOM did so in keeping with the mission to train compassionate, professional physicians who will serve communities that need them across the US/the world and sticking to our goal of remaining small enough to give each student the attention and academic approach s/he needs to succeed. As a faculty member and dean, I enjoy the opportunity to be innovative and react quickly to changes in medical education, create and implement programs and policies which benefit our students during school and beyond into residency, engage a fine, diverse and broad group of preceptors, and work with the experienced and responsive top administrative team. Of course, the most rewarding aspect of my job is working with our students- they are extraordinary and inspiring in the dedication they bring to mastering the art and science of medicine. Paula Wilson, MD MPH Associate Professor of Public Health, Sr. Associate Dean of Clerkships

It really is a privilege to work with faculty and staff that care so much about the students' individual successes. Similarly, the students themselves are absolutely remarkable human beings. I've never met a Trinity student that I haven't been able to picture as a physician caring for me or my family one day.
